Keynote 1: The Three I's of AI - Infrastructure, Incrementation and Innovation.

This session explores the Three I’s of AI in education: infrastructure, incrementation and innovation. It covers how schools can lay solid foundations with the right policies, systems and governance, then build momentum through small, purposeful classroom pilots that make AI feel useful, not overwhelming.

You’ll also hear what innovation really looks like when it’s grounded in pedagogy. With practical examples and honest reflections, the session offers a clear path for schools ready to move from curiosity to confident, classroom-ready action

Case Study 7:

AI and well-being: creating a safe internal AI sandbox

How do we open up the most exciting opportunities brought by generative AI to our students safely, ethically and responsibly? Certain risks to student well-being are already understood: safeguarding risks; data security risks; academic integrity risks. But other concerns are starting to emerge: around student relationship-forming with AI; about the humanitarian and environmental costs of AI; about who funds what tool, and to what end. At Habs, we are piloting the creation of our own internal AI interface to give students access to a ‘making/breaking’ space to play with AI, which aims to be as safe, responsible and ethical as possible. Clare will be talking through some of the dilemmas and decisions that this has raised.

Speaker: Clare Jarmy – Director of Innovation, Haberdashers’ Elstree.
