Expert-Led Webinar: Benedict's Law and the new statutory allergy guidance: what your school needs to know before September - Wednesday 10 June 2026 (Online)
HMC Expert-led Webinars – a series of online CPD sessions, focusing on current themes and issues within wider society impacting schools and school culture.
Description
**This session will be recorded**
From September 2026, schools will be working to new statutory allergy guidance and Benedict's Law will follow shortly after. For many schools, that means a significant shift in what is expected of them. This expert-led webinar delivered by Sarah Knight from The Allergy Team will give you a clear, practical picture of what the law and guidance require, what you need to have in place, and how to make sure your school is ready.
We will cover:
- What Benedict's Law means and when schools need to act
- What the new statutory allergy guidance requires of all schools
- The named senior leader and Named Allergy Governor requirements and what these roles involve in practice
- How to build a whole-school allergy policy that is fit for purpose
- The training requirements for staff and how to meet them
- What good allergy management looks like day to day
Whether you are starting from scratch or reviewing what you already have, this session will give you the clarity and confidence to move forward.
