This course is for: Senior and middle leaders who have some experience of coaching already, or have attended HMC’s Introduction to Leadership Coaching course. Kim Wells is an experienced senior leader and ICF accredited coach in an HMC School, but also works as a trainer delivering a range of coaching courses.

Description

This course aims to:
Provide a deeper understanding of how to use coaching to develop your staff and to instigate change. By the end of the day delegates will have evaluated and added to their own toolkit of techniques for helping colleagues to grow professionally.

Course outline:

Delegates will learn about a wide range of coaching and neuroscientific models. They will have the opportunity to put these techniques into practice immediately with three rounds of coaching in triads.

Models covered include : Coaching for change, Neuroplasticity, the Goldilocks principle of the brain, Working Styles analysis & Anti-fragility

Preparatory work

All delegates will be sent some brief pre-course reading, plus a Working Styles analysis questionnaire
