This course aims to: Help you to develop a more coherent partnerships strategy for deeper long-term impact. This course is for: This course is designed for independent schools who are engaged in partnerships with state schools but wish to develop or expand their partnerships programme. It builds on the Exploring Cross-Sector Partnerships course and is aimed at those with responsibility for partnerships: Heads of Partnerships/Outreach/Community Engagement, Heads, Deputies, Development Directors

Course Outline:

Your school may have a number of different partnership projects but is looking to evaluate, extend what you already do, or build in structures to make them more effective, sustained and impactful. As a small group we will be able to share ideas and concerns interactively.

Following the course, you will feel able to bring more strategic planning to your partnerships programme and be more confident about evaluating impact and ensuring longevity of your collaborations.

10.35	Session 1: Why? What needs do your partnerships address? What works well and how do you know? Taking impact evaluation to the next level.
11.45	Refreshment break in lounge
12.00	Session 2: Structuring partnerships for sustainability: addressing the challenges of staffing, leadership and resource constraints.
13.00	Lunch in restaurant
13.45	Session 3: Communications flow and reporting – keeping in touch with internal and external stakeholders. Building a strategy for embedding partnerships in the life of your school – using a template. Take-aways and further support.
15.30	Closing remarks and depart

Course Director Bio:

Christina is a prominent thought-leader on partnerships, especially cross-sector, and is author of Partnerships WorkBook, a DIY course in Building a Cross-Sector Partnerships Strategy. She is Founder-Chair of the Schools Together Group (now the School Partnerships Alliance), established whilst she was Head of Partnerships at King’s Canterbury. She offers bespoke consultancy and mentoring for schools, directs training programmes and speaks and writes on school partnerships. In January 2022 she launched #PartnerChat, a series of free monthly breakfast briefings.
