This webinar will explore what ADHD is, its prevalence within children and young people, mental health difficulties that commonly co-occurs with ADHD, the recommended assessment and diagnosis process, and how schools can support those with ADHD.

This webinar will be led by Dr Abigail Russell a Senior Lecturer in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, at the University of Exeter Medical School. Abby's research focuses on the causes and consequences of child and adolescent mental health difficulties, and the role that schools play in preventing, identifying and managing these. She is currently conducting a programme of research that aims to explore and ameliorate the impact of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in primary schools, by working with children, parents and educators to co-design a toolkit of evidence-based behavioural strategies.
