Key principles of value-added data 

What should (and shouldn’t) we use value-added data for? How can I convince colleagues, pupils and parents of the usefulness of CEM value-added data? We will also discuss how CEM data fit into the EEF’s School Improvement framework.

 

16:00 – 17;10

Value-added in CEM’s secondary assessments 

An overview of the MidYIS, Yellis and ALIS assessments and how value-added data are presented. We will also discuss the impact of different standardisations, as well as that of CAGs and TAGs, and how these impact on value- added.

Driving change through value-added data 

Using real examples from schools, we will discuss how value-added data can be used to influence decision making in school. Consideration will also be given to the different patterns of value-added data and how these can impact upon decisions in school.
