Keynote: The Transition to University: how innovation in the approaches to preparation can yield meaningful impact 

This session will explore how to prepare pupils for the transition to university, offering the opportunity to discuss the most impactful ways to help pupils move successfully from school to university-level studies.  The session will consider the dispositions often created during A Level courses and how these can be reshaped to make pupils ready for the step to greater levels of academic independence and self-propulsion, and offer practical suggestions on ways in which Academic Deputies can lead conversations with Heads of Department and other key stakeholders, enabling meaningful reflection and powerful change.
