Aspiring Heads' Programme Day 1 - 15 October 2025

The year-long AHP is designed for senior leaders in HMC schools (in the UK and internationally) who are aspiring to headship, with a view to ideally securing their first headship within the next 18 months. Participants must have secured the support of their Head in order to undertake this course and their Head must be willing to act as mentor during the course. The HMC Aspiring Heads’ Programme (AHP) is a year-long course designed for senior leaders in HMC schools (in the UK and internationally) who are aspiring to headship, with a view to ideally securing their first headship within the next 18 months.

Participants must have secured the support of their Head in order to undertake this course and their Head must be willing to act as mentor during the course. Please speak to your Head about this before making a booking.

Participants need access to ‘Making the Leap’ by Jill Berry, Crown House, 2016, which can be purchased here

The face-to-face days for the AHP will be as follows:

  • Day 1: 15 October 2025 (London, Broadway House)
  • Day 2: 4 February 2026 (London, Broadway House)
  • Session 3: 17 June 2026 (Online)

The final online session (Module 6) will be on 17 June 2026 from 14:00-16:00.

Please note that all participants must be in an HMC school and will therefore be charged at £650, our usual discounted rate.
