Preparing for Headship

This Conference will explore the practicalities and possibilities of AI within schools and the wider education context. This Conference is for senior leaders in HMC schools.

The year-long AHP is designed for senior leaders in HMC schools (in the UK and internationally) who are aspiring to headship, with a view to ideally securing their first headship within the next 18 months. Participants must have secured the support of their Head in order to undertake this course and their Head must be willing to act as mentor during the course. This conference aims to: Focus on the key issues for HMC Deputy and Assistant Heads and to provide an opportunity to network and share good practice. This conference is for: Deputy and Assistant Heads with Co-Curricular responsibilities in HMC and other independent schools.

This course is for: Experienced Heads and Senior Leaders who already have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of employment law and are looking to deepen their knowledge of more complex, real-world staffing challenges. It’s ideal for those in leadership roles who are responsible for managing staff and employment-related decisions — and who want to stay informed, confident, and proactive in navigating nuanced legal issues in schools.

This course is for: Aspiring Heads of HMC and other independent schools.

This course is for Governors of schools in AGBIS and/or HMC membership.

For colleagues in HMC and other independent schools with partnerships work in their roles.
